As a Sr. Microwave Sustaining Engineer, you will work closely with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to sustain and scale production of RF hardware. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving hardware production rates, troubleshooting complex issues, and drive implementation of corrective actions. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key job responsibilities
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for sustaining production of microwave/RF subsystem for use in space.
In this role you will:
• Provide technical support for existing RF productions and systems to production operation teams
• Test and troubleshoot failures of complex RF PCB and mechanical assemblies reported in product tests and conduct root-cause analysis
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including test procedures and report
• Drive implementation of corrective actions and mechanisms to prevent repeat of failures
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to enhance product reliability
• Perform as primary engineering point-of-contact to disposition all production non-conformance
• Mentor technicians
This position is in Redmond, WA. Some travel, both domestic and international, will be required. (Up to 30%.)

A day in the life
You will regularly interact with production operation teams to enable high-rate delivery of RF hardware that will fly in space. This requires fast-paced execution of root-cause analysis and the ability to work well with others in a highly cross-functional organization.
