AWS is seeking a Business Development Manager to help us maintain our leadership position as our customers’ preferred cloud platform. The role focuses on evangelizing and selling our Training and Certification services. This team, which you will lead and build daily operations of, is critical to helping our customers accelerate their adoption of AWS cloud services. The ideal candidate will have clearly documented success in owning, defining, and executing programmatically against the needs and strategic priorities. Specifically experience with technical certification programs, authorized channel programs, and enterprise skill programs, which provide the right candidate the foundation for success. They should be familiar with customer challenges related to cloud adoption, and have experience helping customers overcome those challenges. They should deeply understand the business benefits of cloud computing compared to client owned/managed on-premise data center resources. They can clearly demonstrate through their career that they have built deep customer trust and delivered big results by helping create and execute long-term transformational training programs. They will be willing to operate both tactically, but can quickly zoom out to lead the organization with big, strategic thinking. They will have strong business acumen and regularly demonstrate to senior leadership their operational rigor. This candidate will have the opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of our Training and Certification services. Therefore, experience influencing product roadmaps will be important. Key job responsibilitiesThis role will develop and execute a vertical program strategy that includes bridging skills gaps and building trust with key stakeholders in AWS Training and Certification teams, and in our AWS field sales leadership and sales teams, solutions architects, partners and professional services organizations. To be successful in this role, this candidate will think strategically and analytically about the business, product, and rollout, and build and convey compelling enterprise skill, certification, training partner and public training programs, while working cross-organizationally to build the right customer programs at the right time.
