Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop detailed M&S, as needed, and perform detailed concept analysis of planned weapon and radar systems.
  • Provide radar and BC expertise to lead/assist in M&S representing the operations and interoperability of the sensors and BC within the BMDS.
  • Collaborate with Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC), MDA leadership, other Government entities, and other contractors to generate appropriate inputs and expected outputs of BMDS M&S.
  • Design and implement scenarios for testing new weapon and radar system concepts against foreign threat models.
  • Improve survivability and vulnerability against foreign threat systems.
  • Occasional travel is required.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Engineering, Computer Science, or any STEM discipline.

Experience Requirements:

  • A successful candidate must possess at least 10+ years of experience with digital signal processing, with an emphasis in radar, Electronic Intelligence, or Signal Intelligence.
  • Knowledge of Python, X-Midas, MATLAB, or similar tools.
  • Experience in analysis of ground-based or airborne radars, radar phenomenology, and electronic warfare systems.
  • Background in design, development, and execution of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) of radar and weapon systems and interoperability analysis of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Ballistic Missile Defense Systems (BMDS) sensors and Battle Command (BC).
  • Experience in the test and validation of M&S used in the analysis of new concepts.
  • Experience in MATLAB, C, C++, Python, and Simulink.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must have experience in sensors, sensor fusion, signal processing, C2, air and missile defense, interoperability analysis, communication devices, radars, electronic warfare, cyber, M&S development and analysis.
  • Experience with Missile Defense Agency, MDA Sensors Directorate (SN).

Additional Details:

  • Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a recent adjudicated CI poly U.S. Security Clearance. Obtaining and maintaining an active U.S. Government Security Clearance requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Remote/Telework: Though flexible, this position requires some on-site support and is not 100% remote.
  • Location: Work location will be in Huntsville, AL. Some travel may be necessary to visit other mission partners.
