The Siri Developer Framework and Tools team empowers developers to build Siri powered experiences. We are seeking a passionate engineering manager to lead strategic projects that will impact the future of Apple and Siri. The team’s responsibilities include designing, developing, and delivering key developer APIs and requires close collaboration with app and platform teams across Apple. As a technical leader, you will be responsible for leading the team in designing, developing scalable, intuitive APIs and developer tools that will be used by thousands of developers.

Description

Successful candidates will need to have a strong track record of technical leadership and extensive experience managing highly technical engineering teams. The ideal candidate has an ability to operate at multiple levels and can dive deep when needed to guide technical contributors. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and build consensus are crucial to succeed in this role.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. BS in Computer Science, EE or equivalent experience with 3+ years of experience leading a technical team as a tech lead or as a manager.
  2. Experience shipping APIs, SDKs, or frameworks to developers or internal teams.
  3. Excellent leadership, communication, prioritization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  4. Excellent project management skills including project structuring and managing work streams independently.
  5. Experience working with one or more programming languages.

  1. 5+ years experience leading a team of software engineers as a technical manager.
  2. Experience working with or developing software/apps in Swift/Objective-C.
  3. Proven track record of shipping high-use APIs, SDKs, or software frameworks.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,700 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
