The ideal candidate for Superintendent will be responsible for managing a jobsite in the Los Angeles and Orange County area on a daily basis. The ability to navigate, read, and understand blueprints and specifications is essential, as well as the discipline to adhere to these contract documents. Must have the ability to communicate well with subcontractors, architects, clients, and vendors. Detailed organizational skills are a must.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day activities on the jobsite.
- Communicate daily with Project Management, Clients, Inspectors, Landlords, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors.
- Implement safety and quality guidelines; conduct safety meetings.
- Draft RFI’s and track subcontractor submittals to architects.
- Submit daily reports, project photos, and updates of the project.
- Participate in estimating efforts, when called upon; vast knowledge and understanding of blueprints are mandatory.
- Produce project duration schedules and 3-week look-ahead schedules.
- Resolve onsite issues.
- Travel to projects and meet the physical demands of walking a project, climbing ladders, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a minimum of 6 years equivalent experience.
- Must have detailed organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Project Scheduling software.
- Knowledge of Bluebeam and Sage 300 software.
- OSHA Certificate.
