We are hiring a Finance Manager to lead strategic finance for Health Partnerships and Marketing (HPM). The role works cross-functionally to build financial mechanisms and provide strategic analyses for HPM's four business units. The ideal candidate has outstanding business acumen, intense curiosity, excellent analytical abilities, and superior verbal and written communications skills. The candidate should also have a strong bias towards data-driven decision-making and be comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with Amazon Health's leadership and own a consolidated P&L for Health Partnerships and Marketing (HPM). The successful candidate will have strong project management and interpersonal skills and experience consolidating and analyzing inputs and information from disparate business units. Other important qualities include a high bar for accuracy and controllership, a deep-dive mentality, and technical skills.


Key job responsibilities
The Finance Manager role has the following responsibilities:
• Quarterly guidance cycles, and OP1 and OP2 financial reviews
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to VP and business leaders
• Consolidated forecasting for HPM's long-range plan
• WBRs
• HPM and Finance goals
• Calendar for financial deliverables
• Internal head-count reporting and hiring best-practices

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 7+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
