The Amazon Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Recruiting team is seeking a talented, customer-focused Research Recruiter with a passion for delighting the client and candidate, to join our recruiting organization. You will be supporting the AGI teams dedicated to improving every single customer experience in each of our businesses with generative AI. Successful recruiters on this team will utilize their experience in setting benchmarks, forecasting and tracking against metrics while prioritizing to meet hiring targets. They thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment, can roll up their sleeves, work hard, and have fun to get the job done. They draw on extensive knowledge of Talent Acquisition and functional areas of the business, forging dynamic relationships with business leaders and hiring managers.
The Recruiter will be responsible for owning and executing mid to senior-level Research and Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) searches. They will own relationships with senior executives and create robust hiring and candidate development strategies. They will be expected to identify, recruit, and hire world- renowned technical candidates. This person will need to be well-versed in all aspects of mid to senior technical search, particularly candidate identification, engagement, development, and creative sourcing. They will work with a strong, established recruiting team of Full Life Cycle recruiters.


Key job responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include but, aren’t limited to:
- Developing a robust, multi-channel, search strategy that will attract world class Research and AI/ML contributors.
- Serving as an expert for artificial intelligence and machine learning recruiting. Continuous company and talent mapping in key tech areas for the company.
- Acting as a talent adviser to Technical and Business Leaders across Amazon – educating Hiring Managers about the external talent demographic. Providing strategic guidance to executive leadership in matters related to top Research and AI/ML talent.
- Clearly communicating status and progress against open searches.
- Developing prospects into candidates, engaging them and performing assessment/screening and presenting candidates to executive leadership.
- Continually contributing to the knowledge base of the group and Amazon, as a whole, by providing education on relevant industries and talent pools/profiles.
- Building out talent networks in technology and product sectors and tapping knowledgeable industry sources to develop an on-going pool of candidates.
- Coaching leaders to continuously improve their talent acquisition capabilities – especially at senior level.

The Artificial General Intelligence team is responsibly advancing the company’s generative AI technologies, including Amazon’s most expansive multi-modal Large Language Models. The AGI Talent Acquisition team is focused on the delivery of top talent in support of this mission.
This role will be focused on delivering Research and AI/ML talent within North America and will support multiple leaders across AGI. The recruiter in this role will be focused on hiring within the Applied Science, Research Science, Data Science, and Software Engineering domains.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of corporate and or search firm progressive recruiting including full life cycle recruiting experience
- Client focus and commitment to continuous improvement; ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships, continually seek new sourcing options, and develop creative approaches to delivering candidates to the customer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience across other functional areas of talent acquisition, ideally diversity recruiting, research or analytics
- Experience building and utilizing a variety of sourcing plans and tools, including proactive phone and internet research
- Experience recruiting candidates in the Science and Generative Artificial Intelligence industries. Specifically Applied Science, Research Science, Data Science, and Software Engineering.
- Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects and client relationships.
- Possess strong analytic skills with ability to create, measure, and scale the right workflow between candidates, hiring managers, and the recruiting team.
- Strong communication skills, organizational and negotiation skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
