Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to be a key member of our Lab Finance team, supporting Echo. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative businesses at Amazon.
The successful candidate will have experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision-making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self-starter with strong financial modeling skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon, so strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
Key job responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Supporting product and portfolio scenario analysis with financial modeling and data-driven recommendations
- Financial budgeting, planning, reporting, and variance analysis
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings
- Managing program budgets
- Leading automation efforts for critical processes
- Streamlining manufacturing processes
- Managing our BOM (PCOGS) costs for 20+ Programs
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
