THE ROLE

  • Provide passion and talent for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Work quickly and creatively to solve challenging engineering problems.
  • Model in 3D CAD parts and assemblies to support detail engineering, FEA simulation and prototyping.
  • Generate Detail and Assembly Drawings.
  • Build mockups and prototypes using hand tools craftsman style.
  • Provide system-level tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Quote, order, receive, inspect and hand-build complex electromechanical prototypes.
  • Test and analyze results.
  • Research technology and advanced component engineering.
  • Understand and create system-level electrical block diagrams and MCO.
  • Lead small projects including research, planning, setting and maintaining schedules, managing third party resources, budgets, scopes of work, and more.
  • Provide excellence in building and managing strong client relationships through direct, confident communication and quality presentations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • MS Engineering; generally, in mechanical engineering (dual discipline is acceptable).
  • 5-7 years of product development experience.
  • Eligible to work in the US.
  • Leader in setting standards and can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with guidance and independently as needed.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, communicating and collaborating internally across disciplines with a positive, proactive attitude. Exhibit professionalism while negotiating details with clients, vendors and designers. Show ability to avoid conflict and create a positive resolution.
  • Adept at multi-tasking, adjusting to competing priorities and challenges with positivity.
  • Resilient under pressure while exhibiting a positive, respectful attitude.
  • Strong SolidWorks/Creo modeling skills including: PDM Works, complex surfacing, parametric changeable models.
  • Advanced understanding of exotic engineering materials, processes, and boutique manufacturing techniques including part design for high volume manufacturing (injection molded plastic parts).
  • Understanding of complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Excellent Presenter - display showmanship, confidence, and control.
