The Prestart Domain team is the core of the end to end Joining Amazon experience, responsible to handle 100% global hiring traffic from various recruiting sources. All subsequent onboarding and HR processes depend on the HR profiles and related data Prestart systems ingest into the HR system. It is core to the success of the Joining Amazon journey as well as employee journey.

We are seeking experienced engineers with strong ownership. You will own and lead projects that impact new Amazonians around the globe. Amazon business’ success depends on your ability to innovate and enable Amazon workforce’s onboarding speed and success. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or Python including object-oriented design
· 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
· 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with designing and building large-scale web services
· Experience with service-oriented architecture
· Experience with supporting mission-critical, 24x7 systems
· Proven results and a history of project delivery
· Experience working with Agile engineering practices

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
