Job Description

In this role, you will work independently, executing and guiding design and documentation tasks across all project phases. This role acts as a specialist in advanced architectural theories, principles, and concepts, addressing complex design challenges and providing guidance to team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare complex drawings, design concepts, technical detailing, and revisions.
  • Solve architectural issues using advanced knowledge, novel approaches, and sound judgment.
  • Lead design and documentation, ensuring adherence to codes, regulations, and constructability.
  • Mentor team members, providing feedback, guidance, and support.
  • Coordinate consultant documents, including plans, estimates, and reports.

Additional Duties:

  • Support project leadership, serve as an AXP Supervisor, and pursue ongoing education in architecture and client management.
  • Develop relationships within the broader design community.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor of Architecture, 5+ years of experience (with lab/life sciences projects), Registered Architect, professional portfolio, and LEED GA certification.
  • Preferred: LEED AP w/Specialty, WELL, and Sustainable Building Materials certifications.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced Revit skills, design detailing, and technical problem-solving.
  • Strong communication, adaptability, and proactive service.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, SketchUp, CAD, Enscape, Bluebeam, Newforma, Deltek Vision, and Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based with occasional site visits.
  • Involves sitting, repetitive motions, and extended communication.
