Job Description
In this role, you will work independently, executing and guiding design and documentation tasks across all project phases. This role acts as a specialist in advanced architectural theories, principles, and concepts, addressing complex design challenges and providing guidance to team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare complex drawings, design concepts, technical detailing, and revisions.
- Solve architectural issues using advanced knowledge, novel approaches, and sound judgment.
- Lead design and documentation, ensuring adherence to codes, regulations, and constructability.
- Mentor team members, providing feedback, guidance, and support.
- Coordinate consultant documents, including plans, estimates, and reports.
Additional Duties:
- Support project leadership, serve as an AXP Supervisor, and pursue ongoing education in architecture and client management.
- Develop relationships within the broader design community.
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor of Architecture, 5+ years of experience (with lab/life sciences projects), Registered Architect, professional portfolio, and LEED GA certification.
- Preferred: LEED AP w/Specialty, WELL, and Sustainable Building Materials certifications.
Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced Revit skills, design detailing, and technical problem-solving.
- Strong communication, adaptability, and proactive service.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, SketchUp, CAD, Enscape, Bluebeam, Newforma, Deltek Vision, and Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with occasional site visits.
- Involves sitting, repetitive motions, and extended communication.
