Description:
As a Systems Engineer, you will have the responsibility to analyze user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities. Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. Develop technical documentation. Develop system architecture and system design documentation. Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts. Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

- Twenty (20) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited College or University.
- Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's, totaling 25 years’ experience as a SE.
- Compliance with DoD 8570; Security + CE is required.
ROCKSTAR Qualifications:
- Expert in Directory Services such as Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and AD Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) – Microsoft certification on the Server platform should be required.
- Expert experience troubleshooting common authentication issues (Kerberos, NTLM).
- Expert with classification tools such as Titus by Fortra.
- High level proficiency with PowerShell Scripting.
- Expert level knowledge of File Service Security, and Microsoft’s Dynamic Access Control (DAC).
- Experience with cloud (web) based print products such as PaperCut.
- Expert with Microsoft Windows Server Update Services.
- Expert experience using low-level debugging and troubleshooting tools such as SysInternals and Wireshark.
- Expert knowledge of deploying, upgrading, and maintaining Thales CT Hardware Security Modules and Microsoft Windows Certificate Authority (PKI) servers.
- Working knowledge and troubleshooting of Microsoft Exchange, Endpoint Management (System Center) Suite, and Windows Server.
- Working knowledge of enterprise management tool for Active Directory (e.g. GPO Admin, Active Roles).
- Knowledge of Attributes Based Access Control (ABAC) systems and software such as Nextlabs.
- Minimum basic understanding of networking protocols, subnetting, and troubleshooting.
- Moderate experience with F5 Load Balancers, Access Policy Manager (APM), and writing iRules.
- Knowledge in performing schema additions and updates to MS AD and LDS.
- Working knowledge of large-scale, multiple Active Directory forest environments and Active Directory trust.
- Ability to implement STE/STN compliance settings and troubleshoot issues caused.
- Ability to derive requirements from customers’ needs and architect simple solutions to complex problems.
- Experience with Linux RedHat and CentOS.
- Nutanix experience is a plus.
