The Global Risk Intelligence team (GRI) provides the data, science, and tools to support hiring over 1MM hourly associates every year, ensuring Amazon is able to meet it’s delivery speed goals, as well as helping choose new locations for Amazon logistics buildings. We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Manager to work with our engineers and leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a natural curiosity about solving problems, identifying the right metrics to inspect the business, and to help leaders make great data driven decisions. You will work with a highly collaborative team, and have direct influence over analytical roadmaps, establishment of key performance metrics, dashboards and report development. You’ll be responsible for working with senior leadership to provide analytics to build predictive modeling and insights into Workforce Staffing's Site Selection and Fill Risk Management use cases.

Key job responsibilities
* Centralize reporting and synthesize insights to deliver predictive insights and recommendations for optimization.
* Build solutions and drive strategies for organizational wide operational excellence and operational programs to evolve day to day reporting mechanisms
* Work with teams from across Amazon to improve data quality within their respective products and platforms
* Work with software developers / data engineers to improve data quality and drive operational excellence for data ingestion, transformation and publication to ensure confidence in the systems we build.
* Champion and actively develop a data-centric approach, acting as coach, mentor, champion and in-house expert within the WFI team
* Be a “do-er” as well as a leader
* Be a data and analytics expert that your team can turn to for assistance. Be able to produce individual analytics and guide individual contributors across the team.

- 7+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience
- 5+ years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management experience
- 5+ years of data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding experience
- Experience with ETL
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software
- 3+ years of quantitative and qualitative data science/business intelligence with significant business impact experience

- 4+ years of working with very large data warehousing environment experience
- 10+ years of data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding experience
