The Global Corporate Issues & Media Relations (GCIMR) team is looking for a PR Assistant interested in joining a highly-visible, fast-paced division of Amazon’s Communication and Corporate Responsibility (CCR) organization.

GCIMR manages corporate issues and reactive media relations, and provides strategic PR counsel on emerging issues and trends that could negatively impact our operations, brand or reputation. The team interacts daily with members of the news media, serves as on-the-record spokespeople, and is responsible for flagging potential issues to senior business leaders at Amazon.


Key job responsibilities
While duties and scope may change or increase over time, the PR Assistant occupying this role will primarily be responsible for routing media inquiries to appropriate subject matter experts, managing team data, and tracking associated metrics. The ideal candidate will have sharp organizational skills and experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Managing media inquiry workflow by directing and tracking incoming media requests to internal subject matter experts;
• Assisting with data entry into various platforms used by PR teams;
• Assisting with scheduling coverage; and
• Identifying opportunities to streamline team processes.


About the team
GCIMR is part of the Global Corporate Communication (GCC) team and is responsible for protecting Amazon’s reputation on topics including operations, labor, workplace issues, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, economic and community impact, customer service, and some public policy issues.

The base pay for this position ranges from $51,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $110,500/year in our highest geographic market.
