The Automated Reasoning Group (ARG) in AWS is looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer who wants to help build the large scale systems and tools that can automatically assure that programs meet general specifications. You will be part of a larger organization that focuses on developing formal software analysis and test generation tools and applies them to software written in various languages, such as Python, Java, and Rust. Your role is to work with scientists and fellow engineers to create real, useful, and scalable tools and services for automated code reasoning and testing.

About the team
You will be working within the Automated Reasoning Group, a team of scientists and engineers ranging from the recently hired to industry veterans, with interest and expertise in formal verification, theorem proving, model checking, static and dynamic analysis, programming languages, and automated test generation. This expertise is being leveraged to enhance, and be enhanced by, exciting new AI technologies. - 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Familiarity with an AI field such as Automated Reasoning or Machine Learning
- Familiarity with an automated test generation technology such as coverage-guided fuzzing, property-based testing, or symbolic execution
