As part of the Undiscovered and Small Business Accelerator (USBA), Amazon has committed $150 million to empower Black entrepreneurs through the Black Business Accelerator (BBA), which provides access to educational, financial and advisory resources that support Black-owned business owners to succeed as sellers in Amazon’s store. We are seeking an experienced selling partner strategic communications & social media manager to lead our selling partner communications strategy, USBA internal communications strategy and our USBA social media marketing strategy. In this role you will partner across the entire USBA organization to ensure the timely and consistent delivery of communications across channels.

The right candidate is a highly motivated and extremely organized individual with experience developing and implementing communications strategies across audiences with experience working in partnership with PR and Corporate Communications teams. You will be responsible for developing and implementing communications and social media strategies that focus on the selling partner community, while also driving a communications calendar within the USBA organization. This role is ideal for a self-starter, dynamic and proactive individual with excellent writing skills, sound understanding of the latest communications and social media landscape and the ability to multi-task. This person should be creative, results oriented, relentlessly focused on the customer, and push to uphold high standards for communications for our selling partner community. In this role, the candidate will work with the USBA Integrated Marketing and Communications Leader to define and roll out a USBA/BBA Communications Strategy and Calendar, which includes the development of core KPIs. Working in a dynamic environment, you will be responsible for measuring, maintaining and improving the quality of our selling partner communications, in the process working closely with internal business teams and stakeholders. You must have the ability to work on tight deadlines and handle multiple communications campaigns simultaneously. Key job responsibilities
• Development and execution of selling partner communications plans, including communicating plans internally
• Provide strategic counsel and guidance to a wide variety of counterparts crossing a number of disciplines within the USBA organization
• Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges, both proactively and reactively
• Development of Communications Calendar + Roadmap, inclusive of social media content
• Partner to develop USBA Key Messaging in partnership with USBA Leadership and Small Business PR
• Identification and implementation of net-new communications channels for both selling partner and USBA internal audiences
• Build and distribute regular reports on project deliverables and status updates
• Flexible to changing priorities, open to new ideas and have the customer experience firmly as the focus
• Maintain team internal wiki pages related to USBA organization
• Development of social media messaging tied to Key HVEs, Cultural/Seasonal Events and Evergreen Selling Partner Marketing opportunities
• Develop compelling selling partner stories that resonate across the USBA/BBA Selling Partner community
• Identify emerging internal and external communications trends (content formats and subject matter)


- 6+ years of recent professional communications experience
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
- History of driving content development for events
- Experience creating content: digital, written, video, and/or audio communications materials
- Experience in social media marketing
- Experience developing social messaging for senior leaders
- High-level of attention to detail
- Experience building processes, project management and schedules
- Experience in leading large, cross functional projects

The base pay for this position ranges from $127,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,200/year in our highest geographic market.
