We are focused on new regulations in Europe and elsewhere, such as the Digital Markets Act, Data Act, AI Act, and others. Designing solutions and delivering them typically requires working with expert teams across software engineering, data, business, infrastructure, operations, security, legal, privacy, and others. Apple teams that are needed to solve these problems are spread throughout the company, so it's imperative to be an expert at building and growing relationships.
Description
This role requires strong technical expertise in data related domains such as data products and data management, and a proven ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams to drive complex data related initiatives.While goals & requirements are often driven by regulations, it’s unlikely that a project/program in our portfolio has a preset playbook. You must be comfortable operating independently in new and unfamiliar domains, quickly building competence in new regulations to inform your work. Success requires breaking down complex problems into manageable pieces, leveraging experts and owners, and adapting as we learn more. Teams expect us to - provide clear direction, collaborate to design solutions that are forward-thinking, help drive decisions, and deliver compliance outcomes for Apple. Strong communication is required for our success and credibility. You are required to synthesize complex issues into clear points. You must be able to tailor your communication to the appropriate context and seniority. You need to be able to write clearly, deliver effective presentations, and run large and difficult meetings. Technical depth is required for your success. We occasionally take on creating prototypes or proofs of concept, and all of our programs are largely technical in nature and very closely tied to software engineering and data teams. Much of our value lies in our ability to convey deeply technical issues to legal and policy teams, and convey legal and policy issues to technical teams. We also facilitate cross-functional coordination and collaboration across Apple.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years experience as a Technical Product Manager / Technical Program Manager / SW Architect / SW Engineer
- 5+ years in any of the following: managing and developing data products / data governance / data management or related fields
- Deep experience working with a broad swath of functions such as engineering, legal, compliance, privacy security, product management, operations, and support
- Proven experience driving complex programs / technical solutions from initiation to post-launch cycles
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
