The FBA Defect Prevention and Reconciliation (DP&R) organization builds innovative technical products that recognize, reconcile, and prevent exceptions within Amazon’s end-to-end supply chain. We are building a future where we capture, analyze, and explain every inventory defect that leads to reimbursement across all stages of the supply chain (i.e. inbound, distribution, storage, fulfillment, returns) and measure and improve Seller Experience.

This role acts as a single-threaded-leader responsible for reimbursement integrity and risks. This includes leading setting up the programs and metrics to determine the use cases and size of the problem. You will be deep diving into operational inefficiencies, tracking performance, and working with Product, Operations, and Tech to drive automation. As part of this, to understand problems effectively, this role requires the ability to identify risks and opportunities in strategies, and organizational structure. This position is be responsible for making tradeoff decisions across multiple teams, VP organizations, and policies. This role is also responsible for writing business updates, requirements, and aligning stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities
- Single threaded leader for seller defect and reimbursement integrity, risk and outlier analysis throughout Amazon’s supply chain including inbound, outbound , removals and customer returns
- Define and deliver important programs with broad cross-organizational and/or cross-regional business impact.
- Use data analytics to deliver solutions and mechanisms that resolve significantly complex problems and provide a long-term beneficial impact on a large segments, both internally and externally to DP&R.
- Contribute both in and outside of DP&R to improves business efficiency, to simplify and to improve quality, to reduces bottlenecks, and to further deliver FBA’s value proposition to sellers.
- Operate with autonomy, showing high judgment in decisions that have business and possibly technical implications.
- Represent, verbally and in writing, complex decisions, tough trade-offs, and potential solutions clearly to VPs and when needed, SVPs.
- Build consensus. Align teams toward coherent strategies. Bring clarity to complexity, probe assumptions, illuminate pitfalls, and foster shared understanding.

- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- 6+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 6+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
- 6+ years of owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

- 5+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Technical fluency: understanding and discussing technology concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members.
- SQL and Data Analysis experience.
- 6+ years of Business Management and/or Operations experience.
- Analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions.
- Excellent Verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience building relationships and working effectively across internal and external organizations.
- Presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences.
- Previous experience in risk management, payments integrity is a plus.

The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
