The Vision Products Group (VPG) is looking for a System UI And Graphics Engineer to help us push the limits of the next generation of interactive experiences on our platform. This team is working with some of Apple’s most advanced technologies including spatial computing, augmented reality (AR), ARKit and RealityKit, to create ground-breaking new products.
Description
In this role you will have the opportunity to work with closely with early prototype teams, Interaction Architecture, Human Interface design and many other teams at Apple. The candidate for this role will be comfortable working on hard problems for which a solution cannot be found online in a highly dynamic and creative environment with an ambition to improve, innovate and explore technologies to surprise and delight our users. Engineers are expected to develop, iterate, and innovate on new and upcoming technologies. A candidate should be conformable working on problems without clear solutions and exploring new and novel approaches. A strong candidate can work effectively across multidisciplinary projects with an emphasis on performance, graphics, system programming, signal processing, UI, lenticular imaging or has the willingness to learn and understand such fields.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or Equivalent
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in software engineering
- Programming skills and knowledge of C and either C++ or Objective-C
- Linear algebra as it applies to 3D math
- Communication and collaboration skills

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $157,800 and $280,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
