Here, you’ll do more than join something — you’ll add something.The Audio & Media Technologies (AMT) team provides the audio foundation across all of Apple's innovative products, including iPhone/iPad, iPod, Apple TV, Apple Watch, macOS, and the new VisionOS, as well as developer support via numerous system frameworks. The team is seeking an experienced tools and automation engineer to support the daily audio driver bug triaging, as well as the development, maintenance and expansion of bug triaging and reporting tool. The tooling automation tasks also include: test automation services for embedded platforms, developing python software that supports data collection, representation and analysis to identify and close the gaps in CI workflow.
Description
As a software integrity engineer, you will work closely with the audio driver engineering, build automation, and quality assurance teams, and duties will include scripting and triaging software failures, enforcing automation test stability, developing code quality metric for audio driver repos, creating weekly reports and dashboards for code coverage, maintaining testing infrastructure. A successful candidate will also write documentation of test operations and leverage domain expertise to work with audio engineers to solve identified issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of SW development and/or tools and automation experience
- Expert level Python programmer
- Highly competent with the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, processing, and presentation
- Familiar with GIT version control system
- Possess a deep understanding of Software testing and QA methodologies
- Creative thinking and strong problem solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience investigating and triaging software build failures
- Thrives in a dynamic, collaborative team environment

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience required.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $107,100 and $222,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
