We are seeking an experienced Third Party Cloud Infrastructure governance analyst who will be responsible for driving the process governance, resources approval & provide details of estimated vs actual spend to leadership. This is a cross functional and strategic role collaborating with engineering and finance teams across Apple.

Description

In this position, you will be responsible for owning Third Party cloud resource requests & the approval process for Apple which support organizations like iCloud, Maps, Apple Pay and Media. Understanding and being current with Apple’s internal offerings, pricing & contracts across various cloud providers is crucial. We work with collaborators requesting cloud resources to understand the big picture and their needs to guide them towards the best possible solutions (in house vs cloud providers). We ensure relevant & accurate metadata capture around the team’s hierarchy and partner with DRIs from Engineering and Finance to review the cloud resources requests, acquire approvals for getting cloud resources and mediate between partners for answers to any possible questions around if the request is forecasted vs un-forecasted.We build & provide regular updates, reports and analyses to leadership & DRIs of various organizations like monthly summary, estimated spend vs. actual spend, migrations from Apple infrastructure to third party cloud etc. You will partner with the tooling & portal team to update and revise the workflow as necessary to provide the best streamlined experience for requestors and approvers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of validated experience in data centers, data analytics/forecasting, cloud infrastructure or business planning related fields
  • Shown cross-functional program management skills and ability to rapidly develop a solid understanding of new areas quickly
  • Strong verbal/written skills with an ability to distill sophisticated ideas into concise, high impact communications
  • Experience addressing senior leadership, up to and including VP level
  • Able to lead through ambiguity and respond quickly to new requirements and data in a highly dynamic environment
  • Able to influence in a multi-functional matrix organization
  • Self starter mentality with a strong leadership drive
  • BA/BS degree in business, operations, finance, engineering, or a related field

  • Deep understanding of various cloud providers (e.g. AWS, GCP etc) and associated offerings
  • Advanced data analysis, modeling and predictive analytical skills. SQL, Python, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,200 and $258,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
