APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Work with the Apple Partner Marketing and Advertising teams in the financial management of the of carrier’s advertising obligations including but not limited to quarterly invoices, forecasting of the carrier obligations, quarterly close responsibilities, and the financial administrations of the program. On a weekly and monthly basis, calculate, analyze, and report out the carrier fund forecasts to key stakeholders. Follow up on open forecast items with Apple cross-functional teams and marketing to ensure all variances are explainable and are business driven. Determine if additional discussion is needed with other Apple groups to ensure forecast is accurate. In quarter close, lead the GEO finance analysts in recording appropriately the financial transactions for respective divisions. Reconcile, prepare, and submit back up and journal voucher entries for Apple Partner Marketing and Advertising program. Reconcile journal vouchers in SAP against internal Apple files and ensure entries have posted correctly. Review third party agency documentation, grouped by carrier and reconcile with Apple Advertising system and carrier contracts. Pull together the documentation required to post accrual. Ensure accruals are posted correctly and reconciles with internal Apple advertising files. Upload final quarterly close data into Apple Advertising system. Prepare and report on quarter end variance analysis to Apple Marketing Finance leadership. Work with Apple marketing teams to conduct different scenarios on carrier obligations with Apple as well as different spend threshold. Provide accurate reporting on key projects such as Tableau dashboard data, ad hoc forecast analysis, and quarterly management reporting. Work with cross-functional Apple teams, including tax, technical accounting, and legal, on projects involving marketing finance feedback, including different country tax implications for carrier invoices, interpretation of legal language that can that impact accounting procedures, and following Apple’s revenue recognition guidelines. Streamline current Apple finance processes and work with developers to improve the current Apple’s database, such as automating manual processes in FileMaker, creating reports that helps manage ad hoc data requests and integrating carrier database with the overall advertising database. Lead GEO advertising finance analyst in forecast and quarterly close processes in support of the approved Partner Marketing procedures. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Political Science, Finance, Business, Accounting or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Conducting accounting for assessment and processing of financial quarter close procedures, including management of general ledgers account, processing journal vouchers, preparing reporting documentation and posting of accounting entries.
  • Experience in financial reporting involving accounting and finance policy guidelines to ensure recording accuracy
  • Forecasting or modeling different scenarios and simulating different outcomes based on assumptions
  • Utilizing Excel for forecasting, modeling, and financial quarter close documentations.
  • Utilizing Excel for creation of financial formulas, pivot tables, and linking of files and tabs as well as creating excel models that can track financial forecasting and what-if scenarios.
  • Conducting financial analysis for risk and opportunity analysis, including outlining financial forecast impacts, analyzing ambiguous and what-if scenario modelling
  • Utilizing Excel for building financial models to track the management of advertising obligations as well as for forecasting and simulating quarter close recording.
  • Database management, including financial database input, management of repository and working with developers to build, enhance or correct features of database.
  • Creating financial reports and outputs of repository data. Creation of documentations of processes.
  • Presenting financial data and analysis to senior leadership
