We are responsible for aligning multiple teams across Apple on key product objectives and driving new product development, from concept review to first customer ship. We're looking for someone who is passionate about contributing to the creation of products customers love, is experienced in guiding complex programs through the hardware development process, and has the ability to distill tradeoffs down to key factors to help facilitate critical product decisions.
Description
Our team is responsible for enabling multiple teams to efficiently deliver high-quality, sophisticated systems by collaborating with various people to define system hardware, features, and schedule baseline. In this role, you will need to understand the complexities of hardware and software system development and be able to orchestrate all of it into a program plan and schedule that you then efficiently implement. You will lead program baseline and active investigations, system schedule, critical paths, and technical risks. You will also be responsible for identifying and highlighting engineering risk areas, partnering with engineering domain experts to develop mitigation paths forward, and clearly communicating project status, top issues, and escalations to the project core team, along with senior leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define system hardware, features and schedule baselineManage program baseline and active investigations, system schedule, critical paths and technical risksIdentify and highlight engineering risk areas and partner with engineering subject matter experts to develop mitigation paths forwardClearly communicate project status, top issues and escalations to the project core team along with senior leadership
Minimum Qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering required
- 1-4+ years of project management experience

- BS degree in Engineering required, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
- Proven experience in Program Management or Hardware Engineering and leading multiple teams in new product development
- Directly led at least 2 product development cycles for a System with hardware and software integration involved
- Leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated critical thinking capabilities
- Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles and constant change; remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
