As Privacy Counsel you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and experienced team on privacy issues impacting Apple’s business and products globally. You will work directly with business and engineering teams to design innovative privacy solutions for products as well as across the legal department on Apple activities and regulatory issues.

Description

You will be responsible for advising and providing support on privacy related aspects for Apple’s various products and services and work alongside legal, engineering and business teams. This role will report through the Privacy Legal team and advise the business and engineering teams on cutting-edge privacy issues. Key Responsibilities:- Deep understanding of general privacy laws, regulations, requirements and industry best practices.- Advising the business on legal, regulatory, and business standards. - Supporting and monitoring a privacy program, as needed, to ensure that technology and business processes meet applicable legal requirements. - Coordinating internal and external investigations, compliance reviews and monitoring activities. - Identifying and communicating potential risks areas with leadership. - Staying informed of and properly communicating any changes to or developments in privacy laws, regulations, standards, and guidance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience (either at a major law firm and/or in-house) in privacy law.
  • Knowledge of comprehensive privacy laws, and regulatory and other guidance and standards.
  • Experience providing strategic and practical advice to product, business, and engineering teams.
  • Experience advising on regulatory compliance and inquiries.
  • JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $193,000 and $290,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
