The ideal candidate needs to be able to dig into sophisticated technical topics whilst having the ability to understand overarching Product, and SoC roadmaps, and the complex tradeoffs involved in product SKU / config decisions. In this Engineering Program Management position, you will be working closely with diverse group of cross functional teams, including Platform, Systems architects, SoC productization, Systems and SW engineering, Operations, Finance, and Product Marketing, throughout the lifecycle of SoCs from Concept to End-of-Life (EOL), to enable Apple’s products. This is a phenomenal opportunity to apply your technical expertise and product planning background, along with effective program management skills, to plan, influence, and drive convergence to SoC SKUs for Apple’s products.

In this role, you will drive day-to-day activities to manage SoC SKUs for associated products during the entire lifecycle of the SoC from concept to EOL. Typical responsibilities will include:- Drive convergence of SoC-to-product SKU planning across multiple lines of business (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Home, Watch, VPG), and garner multi-functional executive approval for Apple’s SoC SKUs for products.- Initiate and maintain SoC cost update to aide product SKU decision.- Define and manage SoC bins, considering product features, cost, and operational complexities.- Regularly chair SoC SKU review forums with cross functional leaders to make time-critical decisions.- Own and maintain SoC and product roadmap for Executive leadership consumption.- Facilitate the way we make decision with relevant partners, being key individual contributors or executive leadership and drive all open items to closure.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in technical field +10 years relevant industry experience.
  • Proven SoC product planning experience.

  • Experience and/or knowledge in SoC test, assembly and supply chain (engineering development & production).
  • Ability to distill and summarize high-level trade-off analyses across both technical, commercial, and customer impacts.
  • Validated technical program management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to comprehend large amount of technical data, and be able to decipher architectural and executional risks.
  • Technical breadth and business acumen to tackle various challenges at the intersection of SoC, and products.
  • Can work collaboratively and multi-functionally across different functional leadership.
  • Able to influence others without authority; while growing trust across the company.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
