Apple is seeking a wireless engineer for product RF definition team. The candidate will be in a leading role of defining specification process, technology roadmap and product architectures for wireless technologies such as cellular, GNSS and NFC. The candidate will work with both cross-functional wireless teams within Apple and external industrial standard organizations, in order to drive contribution, convergence and alignment of charters aforementioned. This role shall influence product-level decisions for wireless design at Apple, partnered by product development teams, by proposing the most feasible design path given restrictions in design space. Description
This role involves creating a rigorous engineering protocol that fosters innovation and optimization of Apple wireless products and technologies, so that correct engineering decisions in product architecture, roadmap, implementation and validation could be achieved with responsible justifications based on end-user performance, along with other industrial standards. This role requires a deep understanding of design and development process of wireless system such as antenna, RF front-end and transceiver, as well as validation of major end-user KPIs of RF system, in order to establish a solid correlation between feasible and measurable engineering metrics to end-user performance.
Minimum Qualifications
- M.S Degree or equivalent with working experience in cellular, GNSS or NFC for consumer electronic devices.
- Familiar with wireless product/silicon development cycle in industry, along with design experience on antenna, RF frontend or transceiver.
- Familiar with relevant industry standard such as 3GPP/CTIA/CCSA, along with familiarity to regulatory certification process for global regulatory agencies such as FCC/ETSI/NAL.
- Excellence in engineering documentation, presentation and communication.

- Ph.d with 10+ years of working experience in cellular, GNSS or NFC for consumer electronic devices.
- Excellence in link margin analysis, statistical analysis and EM simulation.
- 5+ years design experience on antenna, RF frontend or transceiver in wireless industry.
- 5+ years of managerial experience of design/validation team in wireless industry.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
