At Audible, we believe stories have the power to transform lives. It’s why we work with some of the world’s leading creators to produce and share audio storytelling with our millions of global listeners. We are dreamers and inventors who come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to empower and inspire each other. Imagine your future with us.

ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a Senior Software Engineer, it’s up to you to define, design and refine the tech that keeps us one step ahead of listeners. Anticipate. Innovate. Bring challenging ideas and we’ll support you with the latest tech, tools and systems that you need to succeed. In this role, you will lead a team to design, develop, test, and deploy capabilities that secure our products, fight fraud and ensure privacy compliance — and help other developers and security professionals to do the same. You’ll drive the team forward, guiding them over every obstacle and leading the way to develop exciting, original and effective solutions. Leading the way, you'll collaborate with the team to build and maintain our platform to bring thousands of stories to millions of listeners and unleash the power of the human voice.

ABOUT THE TEAM
The team is located across Audible’s Newark hub. We champion security by design and adopt, integrate and build the tools and capabilities which shift security left across the development team — making it easy for developers to do things right and hard for them to do them wrong. We deliver capabilities which improve the effectiveness and efficiency of those at Audible who provide cyber defense and fight fraud. We support the continuous enhancement of capabilities which secure the Audible product. We express our Customer Obsession by keeping the Audible experience a safe and trustworthy place for creators to share stories with listeners who love them.

True to Audible’s People Principles, we are committed to the success of our people and supporting the communities in which we work. Our leadership team is dedicated to mentoring and coaching to help each individual identify their career goals, flourish, and achieve their potential. Our environment encourages everyone to participate. Our diverse team depends on differing backgrounds and perspectives to foster robust conversations that lead us to the right solutions for our customers.

ABOUT YOU
You feel pride in every step forward, however big, or small; to you, each challenge represents a well-executed venture to support our listeners. If you're looking to develop your skills and grow professionally, this is your next step. We look for people who take responsibility, set their standards high and see every failure as an opportunity to learn. You’re looking for an environment where you can thrive.
