Sr. Manager Construction, Amazon

The Senior Construction Manager consults and implements the execution of construction anddevelopment projects for One Medical collaborating with design, real estate and finance. This individual provides direct input on cost analysis with feedback to the Real Estate team on site selection and guidance for feasibility, timing and budget projections. Corporate branding and standards are provided from the design department for implementation and execution of the project. Consultant and vendor teams on each project are led to ensure budget adherence and execution on approved projects from the finance and leadership teams. Scheduling, cost tracking, and turnover to the end user are all part of the construction managers core responsibilities.Key job responsibilities● Determine feasibility of developing potential sites and projects by advising on build-out risks, cost drivers, permitting issues, local market challenges, and potential schedule overruns● Assist and at times perform due diligence inspections, including existing conditions, MEPSsurveys, and GC walks● Assist with permitting and use approval processes as needed, involving coordination withexpediters, contractors, landlords and local jurisdictions● Continually update list of existing vendors and vet new contractors in new and existing markets● Develop and manage relationships with vendors to ensure success, achieve cost and lead-timeefficiencies● 7+ years of experience as a construction project manager, preferably in retail/hospitality● First hand knowledge of the One Medical New Office Launch program, as it relates to ourstandards of setup and opening.● Detailed experience of One Medical project costing and budgeting of not only General Contractorpricing, but also One Medical’s partner and internal stakeholders project costs.● Knowledge of all aspects of the commercial TI design and construction process, includingstandard documents, drawings, methods, and costs● Proven track record of successfully delivering many simultaneous projects on time and onbudget, and creating and updating budgets for active and future projects● Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external partners● Excellent project management and time management skills, and strong attention to detail● Ability to manage large budgets and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environmentHealth Care experience, scheduling and experience with budgeting and determining/projecting timelinesAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
