Job Description

Over the past two years, in partnership with the Legal, Compliance, Security, and Privacy teams, for Professional Service, Software, Construction, Benefits, and Marketing agreement requests, Comcast has centralized and automated contract intake, drove adherence to standard contract terms, and released new policies. We are now expanding the program to cover all Comcast buying categories creating an integrated request, contacting and management experience by:

  • Simplifying and integrating the contracting ecosystem 
  • Leveraging intelligence-powered supplier segmentation rules engines
  • Integrating supplier risk methodologies and assessment repositories 
  • Simplifying contract authoring by expanding use of clause libraries
  • Proactive agreement refresh management
  • Expanding obligations and compliance management

In addition to establishing the centralized intake program for new suppliers, existing agreement updates and changes are too processed via this channel. 

This position of Manager, Contract Management Office will be responsible for intake assessments, diligence reviews, contract negotiations for new supplier requests along with leading existing supplier refresh requests.

The Contract Management Office is a key enabler to product and project delivery and is designed to balance a customer experience and a delivery mindset with necessary due diligence, risk mitigation and contracting expectations. 

Once the program is fully implemented and the expected results are achieved, we will look to expand to other Comcast geographies and entities like NBCU and Sky.

Core Responsibilities

  • Partner with requestors to review supplier needs and develop market testing strategies to determine incumbent partner capabilities to validate need to onboard a new supplier
  • Perform supplier diligence screens to inform contracting strategies
  • Lead agreement refresh and update activity for the assigned portfolio
  • Ensure supplier terms are aligned with engagement risks
  • Lead end-to-end contracting activities
  • Manage inflight request portfolio to ensure alignment with BU timing expectations
  • Partner with category leads to develop, maintain, and enhance supplier segmentation and categorization strategies to drive program operations
  • Recommend process and provision changes to further streamline and optimize operations.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
