As a Payload Integration and Test Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the Kuiper
system data-path/network verification, support the implementation and validation sign-off of
various software interface requirements and modem architectures. You will be working in a
collaborative environment with a multi-disciplinary team and 3rd party partners from
development to productization of various Kuiper products.

Responsibilities
 Conceptualize and execute a test campaign with specific focus on network functionality
and performance. Engage with systems, hardware, and software development engineering
teams to accomplish the following in pursuit of network integration and testing: capture
requirements, define use cases, work backwards from product strategy.
 End to end network, data and control plane testing to include ground ,satellite and
customer terminals.
 Troubleshoot deeply: anticipate failures, collect data, analyze log files, compare models
to observed behavior, root cause.
 Troubleshoot and root cause throughput degradation and packet losses across the system.
 Support and reproduce on orbit networking and data plane issues in the lab.
 Utilize AWS cloud resources as well as commercial-off-the-shelf test equipment:
program, instrument, and automate.
 Draft and maintain high quality documentation for program-level feedback: test
verification matrix, status tracking, test runs for record.
 Enhance testing efficiency by automating test execution and analysis.

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or
national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the
U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or
equivalent experience
- 5+ years of Internet Protocols networking experience
- 3+ years of experience with satellite and/or cellular network testing

- Master's/PhD degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related discipline.
- Software defined network implementations and network protocol extension
- 3+ years developing networking hardware and software
- Wireless communication theory and practice
- Programming in an object-oriented language (Python preferred)
- Protocol analysis for quality assurance metrics and monitoring
- Application development for telecommunications systems
- Experience building and maintaining networks, coordinating handoffs, provisioning resources
- Software suites: AWS, Microsoft Office, Atlassian, Linux, Wireshark
- Network load testing, stress testing, L2 and L3 testing, L4 through L7 testing
- Modeling, simulation, emulation of IP networks
- Video distribution over IP
