Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

The Kuiper team is looking for material planners to manage material schedules, collaborate and assist in process improvements.

The ideal candidate has experience in SAP (S4Hanna) materials requirements planning (MRP) systems, managing moderate to complex materials plans, has an understanding of business acumen and judgment, analytical abilities, written, verbal communication skills and awareness to various cross-functional organization inter- dependencies.

Have a bias toward data driven decision making, be comfortable with ambiguity and juggling multiple projects, be able to think big and creatively (while paying careful attention to detail), and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.

Key job responsibilities
• Own schedule management for assigned categories and manage exceptions generated by MRP
• Incorporate MRP recommendation
• Perform clear to build assessments on production work orders
• Assist in managing shortages and floor scrap replacement
• Monitor schedule performance of production work order adherence
• Periodic review of order modifiers like fixed order quantity, fixed lot multiplier
• Continuous improvement to reorder points to improve results of stock availability
• Identify and resolve data quality issues
• Exhibit a constant passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience
• Influence supplier investments in continuous improvement to improve results at continually lower costs and risks
• Prepare and provide data driven reviews to management with a focus on optimizing the supply chain for performance
• Create SOPs to manage transaction processing.
• Engage in short, medium and long range planning activities to provide consistency in services

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $100,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
