The team will use tools and technologies to eradicate whole classes of security issues and you will work with the broader WebKit team on improving our security architecture with process isolation, sandboxing, and better inter-process communication.The WebKit open source project is the web engine that powers Safari, the world’s fastest and most power efficient web browser. Description
In this role, you will manage a team that fixes security bugs and works strategically to prevent security issues.You’ll collaborate across teams across Apple to drive security improvements in our browser and the underlying platforms, and interact with developers outside Apple on the WebKit Open Source project.In concrete terms, you’ll manage a team that works on:Fixing security bugs and delivering those fixes to usersImproved memory safetySandboxing, inter-process communication, and process isolation.Innovative technologies to eliminate classes of security issues.Architectural changes to improve security.Programming language enhancements to improve security.Static analysis of source code.New testing strategies and improved testability.

- Experience with mentoring, career development, project planning, and executive reporting.
- Strong understanding of the kinds of security issues that arise in C++ and how to address them.
- Technical understanding of software release schedules.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,000 and $313,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
