Our group is looking for a highly motivated Performance Engineer to optimize software design for Apple’s latest products, including the next generation of Apple Watch, AirPods, iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Description
As a key member of Connectivity Firmware Performance team you will work on software design, testing and optimization from early prototypes until productization! The work involves devising performance evaluation methodologies on SW/HW prototypes, analyzing logs, and making recommendations for implementing in software based on trade-off analysis at a system & product level.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong understanding in one of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Thread, or related protocols
- Background or research experience in RF, Digital, and Wireless communications
- Experience working with wireless sniffers and protocol analyzers to debug and root cause issues
- Experience with Python for testing, data analysis, and visualization
- Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite
- BS Electrical engineering, Computer engineering, Software engineering, or Computer Science
Key Qualifications

- Experience with power, performance trade-off analysis
- Experience with CPU profiling and optimizations
- Programming in C or C++ is a plus
- MS or PhD is a plus

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
