Description

This position is responsible for EHS support of engineering team operations and management of regulatory compliance obligations for Apple owned/operated facilities in the County of Santa Clara, CA. Typical support actions include: facilitating safety risk assessments, building and lab inspections, accident/incident investigations, emergency response, and operational EHS support of facility/lab construction projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS in an EHS based, physical science or engineering degree
  • 15 or more years' of professional EHS operations experience

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Research and development (R&D) lab or Industrial facility operations experience
  • Understanding and experience with National Electric Code requirements for safe electrical design, installation, and inspection
  • In-depth knowledge of Title 8 California Code of Regulations, California Fire and Building Codes, CalEPA (DTSC) rules/regulations, California Air Resources Board (CARB) and Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) rules/regulation, National Fire Protection Association and Workplace Consensus Standards (ANSI/ISO)
  • Experience with fire safety and emergency response program implementation
  • Nationally recognized professional credentials (i.e., Board Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Professional Engineer (PE))
  • Extensive experience conducting new equipment/new process EHS design review
  • Experience conducting/facilitating Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) sessions

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,200 and $255,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
