Description

The RE&D FP&A Manager will lead a team in support of one of the most influential retailers in the world, with over 500 stores in countries around the world, and some of the most interesting facilities in business such as our worldwide headquarters, Apple Park. Based in Cupertino, the RE&D FP&A team works to deliver timely and accurate P&L forecasts; partner with a diverse group of business leaders including dealmakers, facilities managers, project managers, Employee Health & Safety specialists, Commute leaders, and more; team up with the international team to consolidate the worldwide forecast, and present results to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will be able to switch gears quickly between topics ranging from the technical to the strategic, from lease options to capitalization policy while using a solid foundation in finance and accounting principles along the way. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Lead the forecasting process for Retail Real Estate; work with your team to develop forecasts that reflect the latest developments in the business- Lead quarter-end close; review and ensure timely and accurate posting of accounting entries - Tell the story of the numbers; apply your knowledge of the business and analyze results and forecast variances to provide insightful commentary for forecast and actuals submissions - Lead a team supporting their ongoing development and help grow their careers while making a meaningful impact on the business- Present forecasts and key findings to senior finance leadership, including monthly forecast and Quarterly Close Review slides - Participate in development of the annual financial plan - Drive development of new tools and process automation; continuously pursue ways to streamline and scale processes by leveraging new tools and partnering with systems developers to innovate around challenges

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7 to 10 years of Finance / Business experience in a fast-paced environment; forecasting and/or FP&A experience desired
  • Proven experience building and/or running high-performance teams; able to form positive relationships with several business partners and peers
  • Proven track record to conduct sophisticated, data driven analysis. Solid understanding of Excel required, experience with enterprise software systems (e.g. SAP, Adaptive Insights) a plus
  • Strong business acumen and high intellectual curiosity with demonstrated interest in real estate finance
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate results of complex analysis in simple terms
  • Strong prioritization skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to learn quickly and navigate through a large organization; can thrive in a hardworking, collaborative environment
  • SAP and Tableau experience a plus; Real Estate experience a plus; MBA a Plus

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $146,800 and $220,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
