We are a group of engineers to support training foundation models at Apple. We build infrastructure to support training foundation models with general capabilities such as understanding and generation of text, images, speech, videos, and other modalities and apply these models to Apple products. We are looking for engineers who are passionate about building systems that push the frontier of deep learning in terms of scaling, efficiency, and flexibility and delight millions of users in Apple products.

Description

We design and build infrastructures to support features that empowers billions of Apple users. Our team processes trillions of links to find the best content to surface to users through search. We also analyze pages to extract critical features for indexing, ranking. We apply statistical analysis to improve link selection, freshness, retrieval rates, extraction quality, and many others. You’ll have the opportunity to work with large scale systems with trillions of rows and many petabytes of data and incredible complexity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong coding skills in C++ or Python
  • Extensive experience in: applied machine learning, modeling and productization
  • Strong background in: computer science, algorithms and data structures
  • Experience with machine learning systems like, Tensorflow, Pytorch or Jax
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent industry work experience

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
