The Global Policy & Compliance (GPC) Team supports World Wide Operations Security (WWOS) by providing objective measurement and assurance, in order to enhance and improve the security of our people, product, information, operations, and brand. The Compliance Program Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and managing compliance reporting and analytics, including audit data interpretation and risk trend analysis. In this position, you will support internal and external audit management tools, assist in development of dashboards and reporting tools, and assist with implementation of audit programs that support the GPC mission. This position can be based in any US Hub location and reports to the Senior Manager of Global Policy & Compliance (GPC). The Compliance Program Specialist is an experienced individual contributor role that works with limited guidance.

Key job responsibilities
- Assist with the development and implementation of audit mechanisms
- Monitor, evaluate, and resolve audit findings
- Build and manage standard work processes to produce, organize, and analyze data using common database query techniques
- Produce data visualizations to drive insights and clearly communicate compliance gaps
- Interact extensively with WWOS teams such as Loss Prevention, Physical Security, Risk & Resilience, and global/regional solutions teams to deep dive complex business and operational processes and workflows
- Develop mechanisms for continuous improvement of internal/external audit tools and processes

A day in the life
You will work primarily within the Global Policy & Compliance (GPC) team to manage internal audit programs, resolve findings, and create reports using available data to highlight compliance gaps. In addition, you'll be collaborating with experts throughout various regions and business lines to understand their compliance needs in order to build effective auditing mechanisms and reports. Your work will ensure that our audit mechanisms are measuring and reporting compliance data accurately and effectively.

About the team
The Global Policy & Compliance (GPC) team is responsible for the governance framework of the World Wide Operations Security (WWOS) organization. As part of a holistic risk management approach that aims to protect our people, information, assets, operations, and brand, we:
- Maintain a policy portfolio covering a wide range of subjects that establish baseline required controls
- Operate a robust compliance program that utilizes audits and other assessment mechanisms to monitor and report potential areas of risk to ensure required controls are in place

- 2+ years of Experience in an Audit (Internal & External), Operations, Risk, or Data Analytics role
- Advanced skills using data visualization software (Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, etc)
- 1+ years of experience with querying and analyzing databases (SQL, MYSQL, etc)
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, etc)

- Bachelor’s degree in a security or business discipline
- Lean Six Sigma
- Progressive experience in Compliance, Auditing, and Security Control types
- Experience with database technologies, including AWS database types
- Experience communicating with senior business leaders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exemplary performance record, particularly with regard to quality & productivity

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
