Amazon Web Services (AWS) is on a hunt for a Customer Acquisition Marketing Leader to lead the team that will shape the future of how AWS connects with key customer segments.

In this role, as the single-threaded marketing leader for the 'customer acquisition engine', you'll lead a team that builds out a new marketing engine which digitally engages zero-billing and low-billing accounts to a threshold where AWS sales teams and partner sales teams can prospect and grow the account. This is a new function you'll build out through close collaboration with executive leadership across marketing, sales, partner, finance, and sales operations organizations.

You must have experience influencing at executive level to create and manage a new marketing function. You should also have experience with developing marketing programs / campaigns that drive efficient acquisition, increase retention, increase life-time values, all falling within a sustainable cost-of-acquisition. You will be an iconic collaborator who has a proven track record of landing customer-obsessed marketing campaigns that operate within a data-driven performance marketing return-on-investment framework.


Key job responsibilities
• Collaborate with worldwide leaders in a matrixed organization to build out a marketing-led customer acquisition engine that generates leads, converts to first-time adoptions, and lands-expands to new services.

• In partnership with sales and partner organizations, define lead-routing pathways and influence AWS-wide teams to build out systems to get the right lead to the right seller, at the right time. Manage customer-acquisition economics and resulting budgets to deliver a sustainable return on marketing investments.

• Be an iconic partner to GEO teams across field marketing, partner marketing, partner management, and sales, to ensure OneTeam delivers on 3 years business plan goals.

• Be an iconic partner to mar-tech teams to influence roadmaps and build out the mar-tech platform to support at-scale new customer acquisition.

• Be a world-class leader of your team (direct and extended) to ensure they deliver results and catalyze their own careers in doing so.

- 8+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

- Experience working cross-functionally and driving decision making among stakeholders with competing goals
- Experience with various types of research methodologies is key, including quant, qual, 1P & 3P data, trend analysis & forecasting, etc.
