Our team is seeking an experienced Tech Program Manager who is obsessed with improving customer experience. They will be responsible for building and executing a clear vision and strategy across our billing and commerce platforms while staying customer obsessed as they enhance our best in class system, which allows customers to have an accurate and compliant, billing and payment experience. This leader will be responsible to influence a suite of products and data service, and will lead game-changing innovations and solutions with their teams. They will partner with and influence X functional teams, including but not limited to engineering, sales, finance and legal. The role will report to a Director, AWS Monetization.
Key job responsibilities
This role will give you the opportunity to lead Billing Accuracy across AWS, to help define the next generation of billing processes. In this role, you will:
* Sift through competing priorities and complex requirements to clarify and solidify the billing accuracy and experience improvement roadmap.
* Collaborate with product owners, operations and partners to bring the roadmap to fruition, and define and monitor metrics that measure the success of the portfolio.
* Responsible for the building-up and maintenance of governance structures, driving effective decisions and report-outs to wider stakeholder groups.
* Break things to see how they work, improve on what works, discard what doesn't, and learn from both. Do all of this using data driven approaches that measures billing accuracy and experience improvement.
* Demonstrating strong tech and solution knowledge, understanding of billing lifecycle , understanding constraints in implementation and technology.
* Drive process optimization to fully exploit the technology and non-technology solutions while balancing the customer experience and business need for flexibility.
* Manage through high ambiguity to solve complex problems.

* Keep all your stakeholders up to date on your products, upcoming capabilities, and future plans to improve billing accuracy and related experience. Independently represent your products and the product team, and are comfortable communicating with executives as well as with business and technical stakeholders.

AWS Monetization's vision is to delight AWS customers by delivering accurate, on-demand, and easy to use billing. Our work includes operational review of deals, ingestion of billing terms to generate and publish invoices. We serve all AWS customers and issue billing artifacts $95 billion/year across 239 AWS services. Our vision is to deliver accurate bills fast and improve customer satisfaction by 50%. We aim to transform the AWS billing process by reducing manual touches via automation and create a Single Source of Truth data pipeline. We have several AWS/Steam level initiatives to improve billing timeliness, billing accuracy and automation.

- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
