We are looking for a talented legal operations program manager with a passion for legal services billing and vendor management. Amazon’s Outside Counsel Management (OCM) team is responsible for managing Amazon Legal’s relationships, pricing, budgeting, spend, billing, and value assessment with outside law firms and legal service providers globally. We continuously invent, own, and innovate on our strategies, programs, processes, mechanisms, and tools to ensure we’re getting as much value as possible in our work with outside counsel and providing a streamlined legal billing function.

Key job responsibilities
Handle all operational and data entry aspects of legal billing, including E-billing account code review, invoice approval in Legal Tracker eBilling system and Amazon systems, invoice routing, and troubleshooting failed payments.
Support vendor management processes, to ensure vendor compliance with billing guidelines and engagement agreements.
Manage and prioritize incoming communications from internal and external contacts globally through email and ticketing systems, ensuring timely and effective responses to inquiries and requests
Update process documents and streamline processes.
Support Amazon’s legal service preferred provider program where needed.
This position reports to the Senior Legal Operations Manager, Outside Counsel Management.

- 2+ years of program or project management experience

- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
- Experience in MS Access and SQL
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
