The AWS Commerce Platform organization needs needs a finance professional to provide Financial planning and analysis for Commerce Platform. Commerce Platform team impacts nearly all AWS businesses. This role will partner with this customer focused group of business to work on challenging and time sensitive needs.

Key job responsibilities
AWS Finance seeks a world class Financial Analyst. This position works closely with General Managers, Product Managers and finance professionals at all levels to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership on AWS’s products. Key responsibilities include:

- Influencing business partner decisions through collaboration on ROI, Free Cash Flow, marginal costs, pricing, customer adoption.
- Fortify core functions, including coordinating, streamlining and executing strategic planning and forecasting
- Strategic and thought leader to the business partners as they make decisions across key investment decisions
- Collaborating with business partners to build and maintain detailed cost models by product/service
- Driving quarterly/annual financial planning/budgeting activities for AWS Commerce Platform
- Preparing and providing monthly financial reporting including communicating future financial risks and opportunities to the business
- Developing and standardizing financial reporting
- Working on ad hoc financial analyses and projects



A day in the life
The successful candidate will implement and drive the core financial processes for the business. Additional responsibilities include helping in strategic 3 year planning, refine the capacity planning processes and modeling improvements to maximize Operating Income.

This role requires a self-starter with a strong financial modeling background, problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations, and solid skills in program management. This role has regular interaction with various business units across AWS and requires strong people skills.

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

- MBA
- Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and drive projects to completion

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
