Job Summary: The Senior Operations Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end logistics operations for a large multinational organization. This role manages a team of regional logistics managers located around North America and is accountable for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of materials, products, and resources regionally. The Senior Operations Logistics Manager works closely with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes, identify and mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The role will be a key strategic partner, leveraging their deep logistics expertise to influence the design and integration of Amazon's large-scale logistics systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a team of regional logistics managers located in North America.
• Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all global logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery
• Develop and implement effective logistics strategies to support the organization's overall business objectives and supply chain goals
• Monitor logistics performance metrics and KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and distribution teams to ensure seamless integration of logistics operations
• Identify and assess logistics risks, such as supply disruptions, capacity constraints, or regulatory changes, and develop mitigation plans
• Support negotiations and manage contracts with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and other vendors to optimize costs and service levels
• Lead the implementation of new logistics technologies, such as transportation management systems, warehouse management systems, or predictive analytics tools
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes that may impact global logistics operations
• Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership on logistics optimization opportunities and resource allocation
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior-level logistics or operations role, with demonstrated experience in managing a global supply chain
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, customs regulations, and international trade practices
• Proficiency in logistics management software, data analysis tools, and ERP systems
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
