Are you a Technical Program Manager (TPM) interested in having a global impact on how AWS customers adopt cloud technology? We are building a global network of experts across AWS through managed technology solutions. Our team of TPMs deliver automation and mechanisms to guide how the AWS technical field builds specialization, engages with customers, and scales their knowledge. This role is focused on delighting customers engaging with AWS in Cloud Operations Services. You will partner with engineering teams, technical leaders, AWS service teams, and regional leadership teams to build this knowledge network. You will define the community strategy, gather insights to focus experts, facilitate technical collaboration, and drive execution of technical programs.

Key job responsibilities
• Define and execute program strategy in partnership with technical leaders , tracking key performance indicators for our technical field development efforts.
• Define tooling strategy, gather stakeholder requirements, define technical and business requirements to improve customer experience.
• Partner with multiple engineering teams to plan out execution and unblock technical barriers for customers.
• Understand how various tools, systems and related technical concepts integrate with one another to maximize program outcomes.
• Manage configuration of software products focused on building, scaling, and engaging Cloud Operations Workload expertise.
• Host and/or facilitate sessions to deeply understand the impacts of system or process changes and aggregate feedback across regions, industries, and teams.
• Define gaps in technical solutions, prioritize and execute upon domain specific projects with Cloud Operations experts.
• Dive deep and analyze performance metrics, identify gaps, determine mitigation steps, implement, and report on progress against goals.
• Drive community programs including but not limited to: mechanisms to build and retain expertise, manage workflow for technical content, customer engagements, and thought leadership.
• Balance concurrent priorities while managing stakeholder expectations and communicating progress effectively.

As a technical community program manager you will drive the mechanisms and technologies which build the next generation of experts, connect them to customers at scale, and drive delivery of one-to-many events & technical content assets. You will define your community strategy, and partner with field experts, fellow TPMs and engineering teams throughout the year to reach these objectives.

- 3+ years experience in technical program or product management experience, working across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience working in technology industry
- Working knowledge of cloud computing technology concepts
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience working directly with software engineering teams

- Advanced degree in Program Management, Operations Management, MIS, Computer Science or Engineering
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Solution Architect Associate, or equivalent experience working with Enterprise IT concepts
- Experience with standard methodologies via industry certification (e.g. PMP, 6 Sigma, ITIL, Agile, OpenGroup, IASA)
- Experience with AWS Cloud Operations workloads, such as Cloud Governance, Monitoring & Observability, Cloud Financial Management, etc

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
