Description
In your role as the Cellular RF System Power Architect you will contribute and be part of a best-in-class RF Systems Cellular Team. We are tasked with driving cellular radio technologies addressing GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G NR and beyond. You will work closely with Platform Architecture, RF and PMU design teams, and suppliers to assess, scope, and ultimately drive RF technology innovation to meet the challenges of next generation wireless products. In this role, you will be responsible for deriving the power delivery requirements to RFICs such as peak load, efficiency, noise and ripple. You will work on definition of the required power states of the RF systems for the best power consumption and performance in field across different use cases and model the chip level power consumption working with analog and digital IP owners. Occasional travel including international may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience required.
- You have experience in deriving implementation requirements based on high level system requirements.
- You have strong analytical and interpersonal skills with an ability to thrive in a multi-functional environment.
- You have strong Technical Writing Skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- We value your 3+ years of proven experience in RF including direct expertise in transmitter and receiver architectures. You should never be satisfied with your knowledge so continuous study, research and collaboration is needed from you to grow.
- You have in-depth knowledge of cellular radio standards (GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5GNR), regulatory, and carrier requirements including their implications on overall radio architectures and RF system design.
- You have experience on power delivery architectures to RFICs, its impact on optimized power consumption and RF performance criteria.
- You have strong understanding of power delivery circuits, such as DCDC converters and LDOs.
- You have strong understanding of required power states in the RF system for optimum power consumption and performance.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
