Description
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding battery life and power efficiency to our customers. This involves close collaboration in a cross-functional team of software developers, QA engineers, hardware engineers, and project managers. Responsibilities include: - Driving bug fixes and power optimizations to ensure that all new Mac products meet their battery life and power targets - Collecting, analyzing, and presenting power data on all in-development Mac platforms - Identifying, isolating, and root causing problem areas using debugging and data analysis skills - Designing tests to assess power impact of new HW/SW features - Continuously improving test coverage, methodology, and efficiency
Minimum Qualifications
- BSEE/CS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
- 3+ years experience of computer architecture, operating system concepts, EE fundamentals, and concepts of power consumption and power management
- 3+ years experience in test planning, validation, uncovering issues, and driving issues to resolution with engineering teams
- Ability to dive deep technically, learn new technologies, and understand the small technical nuances of a system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting data to cross-functional teams and/or management

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $117,800 and $205,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
