The Edge Services team is seeking a DevOps engineer to join a small, dynamic team dedicated to building, upgrading, and maintaining Apple’s global Edge infrastructure, including CDN, DNS, GSLB, and NTP services. Your work will not only enhance the functionality and performance of these critical systems but also help redefine industry standards for reliability and distributed systems. In this role, you’ll tackle some of the most challenging and exciting problems in the industry, channeling your creativity and technical expertise to deliver innovative solutions. To thrive, you must be a skilled DevOps engineer who excels in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across teams and organizations. You have a passion for building robust system software, solving complex problems often considered impossible, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Beyond technical proficiency, you will bring creativity, adaptability, and a forward-thinking approach to navigating new technical challenges and pushing boundaries.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong Linux skills are a must.
- Experience with DNS, Git, BGP, Bird, NTP, curl.
- Knowledge of OS deployment methods, kickstart, etc.

- Solid understanding with Systems orchestration systems, preferably SALT.
- Scripting experience with Shell and or Python
- Splunk experience

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
