One mission of the Data Center Engineering Team is to develop, analyze and implement architectures to pass data from the data center infrastructure platform to the IT control platform and intelligence monitoring platform. We are looking for a team oriented, innovative, logical mindset, forward-thinking, self-confident, experienced Platform Architect to join our team.

Description

As an Apple Platform Interface Architect you will work with a wide variety of platforms in the data center that have a need to pass data for monitoring, alerting, and control. This role is to analyze and document existing architectures, interfaces and platforms that result in developing and analyzing future concepts and architectures. Responsibilities Document existing architectures, eco systems, interfaces and identify ares of improvement Gather requirements from other platforms that use or need data center infrastructure telemetry data Develop metrics on how current architectures are performing Develop and analyze conceptual architectures for each external platform and present proposals for design reviews Develop metrics for proposed architectures Participate, lead as requested , with team members on development, validation testing, implementation, and tracking performance metrics Collaborate cross-functionally in development or refinement of performance dashboards expected performance levels Generate weekly metric and issue reports for implemented interfaces

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software or Computer Engineering, Statistics, or a related field or equivalent job-related experience
  • 3+ Years experience in architecting or developing software/firmware systems
  • 3+ years experience with communication protocols
  • Solid understanding of Data Center Telemetry or Server Telemetry

  • Proven track record to develop architectures, requirements, reviews, evaluations, and results
  • Experience in project collaboration in leading, organizing, directing and gathering requirements
  • Experience in researching, understanding and explaining complex systems in clear and concise language
  • Ability to visualize data, analyze data and draw conclusions and create reports
  • Knowledgable of data center protocols, networks and systems such as EPMS, BMS, servers switches, and appliances
  • Experience with Apple OS and iOS is a real plus
  • Experience with information security and associated software and protocols

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
