Amazon Robotics’ Environmental Health and Safety Team is seeking a proven program manager to manage manufacturing operation safety, new product introduction and general safety initiatives for the Amazon’s Robotics Manufacturing and Technical Operations (RMTO) team. The Senior Program Manager role requires the ability to innovate, analyze, organize, plan, schedule, implement, support, and deliver processes and projects to maximize safe, economical, and effective use of materials, energy, and people. This role will require you to push boundaries and push transformative innovation while having the autonomy to make rapid data-driven decisions and invent on behalf of our manufacturing and operations team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with EHS experts in driving a systematic approach to identify, mitigate and manage risk to meet Amazon, regulatory and industry standards. In addition, the Senior Program Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with members from various teams, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities and externally with 3Ps, Integrators, NRTLs. The role will require frequent travel between multiple manufacturing locations in greater Boston area.

Key job responsibilities
- This is a Program Manager role where you would manage the lifecycle of large, complex manufacturing and technology initiatives, delivering critical solutions, significant improvements, new mechanisms, or deprecating systems that are no longer needed. These efforts require you to; collaborate with multiple teams in and/or across organizations.
- Accountable for delivering the overall strategy of a large program with consistent input from the EHS experts in all safety domains. You successfully manage and support all stages (from concept to delivery). Your program meets challenging business goals and/or shows measurable improvements.
- Understand the manufacturing and production systems you work with and influence EHS priorities and strategy through data-driven contributions.
- Communicate ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences including Directors and VPs. Foster a constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and support the resolution of contentious issues (build consensus).
- You partner successfully with EHS domain experts, customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
- You judiciously add, refine, and remove procedures. By applying project management best practices, you increase the productivity and effectiveness of the teams you work with.
- Routinely and efficiently deliver the right things. You define clear goals and objectives. You drive crisp decisions in your program area about what projects move forward and in what priority order. You proactively identify risks and bring them to the attention of your team and stakeholders with plans for mitigation before they become roadblocks.

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

- 5+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- PMP
- Experience working in the safety domain in operations or manufacturing
