The Publisher and Songwriter Relations team works with music talent (i.e., songwriters, producers, and artists), music publishers, songwriter trade associations, record labels, performing rights organizations, and non-profit organizations to drive reciprocal value for songwriters and their business intermediaries, and Amazon Music and their customers. This is a cross-functional position that collaborates with other Amazon Music and pan-Amazon stakeholders (i.e., Prime Video, Twitch, Audible, Amazon Games, Studio126, Public Policy). The team is seeking a proactive, creative, detail-oriented, and highly organized Program Manager, who will focus on supporting: (i) partnership campaigns; (ii) content production; (iii) songwriter and producer playlisting; (iv) songwriter development programs; (v) the team’s operational needs; and (vi) music studio activations. The ideal candidate is passionate about songwriters and understands their foundational significance to the sustainability of the music industry.


Key job responsibilities
• Support project management for the team’s priority initiatives to drive growth, engagement, and brand awareness for Amazon Music
• Execute mid-size opportunities independently in support of larger team’s goals
• Coordinate integrated planning, execution, and cross-team support for current programs and new initiatives
• Lead songwriter and producer playlisting and manage the Songwriters and Producers in-app homepage
• Liaise with publishers, managers, and trade associations to strengthen and maintain strong relationships with songwriters and producers
• Support production and marketing for the team’s content programs
• Lead program management for songwriter development programs
• Develop and assist in managing a reporting system that provides metrics to measure business impact
• Assist in scaling the team’s programs globally by launching and operationalizing such in international territories in addition to the US, Canada, and United Kingdom

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4+ years of experience working directly with music talent
• 4+ years of project or program management
• Demonstrated program or project management success, leading campaigns from start to finish
• Exceptional problem-solving, attention to detail, and ownership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive drive to deliver results
• Knowledge of the music creation process, understanding of the value chain, and passion for music creators, especially non-artist songwriters and producers
• Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams, both internally and externally
• Comfortable working across international time zones
• Experience collating and analyzing data generated from marketing campaigns

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to interact with stakeholders across all levels of seniority
• Demonstrated strength using data to inform strategy and secure wider stakeholder support
• Experience working in music talent management and/or music publishing
• Understanding of music publishing and its intersection with music streaming services and music policy

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $69,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $148,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
