OpenSearch is a community-driven, Apache 2.0-licensed open source search and analytics suite based on Apache Lucene. It enables you to easily ingest, search, visualize, and analyze data. Since its launch in July 2021, we have released several major and minor versions to innovate in core areas of Search and Security, but we have much more to do. OpenSearch Project recently moved to the Linux Foundation to foster vendor neutral innovation in open source. This Sr. SDM role will lead Search and Security for OpenSearch based out of India. This gives an opportunity to collaborate with our community in open source and our enterprise customers to ensure we’re building secure and scalable solutions.

You strive every day to bring out the best in your engineers, to maintain a high technical standard for your product, and to deliver software that you’re proud of.

Who are we? We’re the team that helps build the Open Source product “OpenSearch” at AWS. This role is to directly manage the Amazon engineers working on the project with a focus on Search and Security, as well as engage with the community of contributors and our strategic customers in AWS.
